System Updates

Update July 23, 2026

Starting July 11, 2026, Bailey Mutual is under a boil water order due to e. Coli bacteria originating in the "Transfer Tank" water storage tank near our well. This was discovered during our routine monthly water sampling. Boil water notices with general information were posted on entry doors of all affected residences on Saturday July 11. In addition, the boil water notice was emailed to all owners and residents who have provided email addresses.

Please see below for a copy of the boil water notice and a CDC pamphlet with handy guidance on common household activities, such as dishwashing, during a boil water order.

We began chlorinating the water on Sunday July 12th, immediately after learning of the presence of e. Coli in the water supply. In addition, we are expediting a project to bypass the Transfer Tank where the e. Coli outbreak originated. The boil water order can be lifted when:

1) Water samples taken after all chlorine has dissipated are tested by our lab, and are clean with no bacteria.

2) Our State Water Resources Control Board representative is satisfied that we have remedied the problem.

We will provide updates when available on the website and by email or text if requested.
